Before starting the repair, power off the laptop and make sure it is unplugged from the charger. |
This process will require a T5 Torx Screwdriver, an iFixit Opening Tool, Phillips #00 Screwdriver, and a replacement battery. |
|
Batteries are what let your laptop hold power. A bad battery can lead to many problems. ***Here are some signs that your battery may need replacing:*** |
|
* The laptop will not stay on. Constant shutting down is a major sign of battery issues. |
* The laptop overheats easily. It is normal for laptops to get warm, but if yours is getting hot during small tasks, there is probably a problem with the battery. |
* The laptop will not charge properly. If the laptop takes longer than an hour to become fully charged, there is a problem. |
***If the battery appears to have become swollen or to have leaked, BE EXTRA CAREFUL.*** |
