Skytex Skypad Alpha 2 Speaker Replacement

Inleiding

By following this guide one is able to access the speakers of the Skytex Skypad Alpha 2 tablet in two steps. These steps include removing soldered connections and removing the speaker itself.

Stap 1 Back Cover

Power off the tablet.
Unplug the tablet from the power source if it is connected.

Stap 2

Remove the (4) 3.5mm screws using a phillips #000 screwdriver.

Use the plastic opening tool to work your way around the tablet, releasing the back case from the tabs.

Release the back case from the rest of the tablet with your hand.
Do not pry the case too hard; doing so can damage the tablet.

Remove the soldered connections to separate the speaker wires from the motherboard.
Remove all black and yellow tape, if necessary, on the motherboard.
Following the red and black wires, coming out of the speaker, to their respective connections on the motherboard will indicate where to solder.

Soldering irons require a larger amount of heat; use caution when performing this step. Excessive heat can damage parts of your device; do not leave the soldering iron on connections for extended periods of time.

Remove the speaker from the tablet using the plastic opening tool.
This will not require much force, prying from the flat side of the speaker will do the job.
