Inleiding
Heb je na een groot feest in je appartement wel eens een gat in de gipsplaat van je muur ontdekt? Volg in dat geval deze reparatiehandleiding om je feestpaleis weer in oude glorie te herstellen en je borg terug te krijgen.
Wat je nodig hebt

Hier zie je een typisch gat. Het is door de gipsplaat heen gebroken en moet worden gerepareerd.

Dit gat is ongeveer 2" bij 2" (5 cm bij 5 cm).

Voor deze reparatie heb je het volgende nodig (van links naar rechts): een zelfklevende muurreparatiepleister, plamuur, touw, een plamuurmes en schuurpapier.

NIET OP DE AFBEELDING: Verf in dezelfde kleur als de muur die je repareert en het stukje karton dat in het gat wordt gebruikt.

Gebruik een stukje karton en bind er ongeveer 23 cm (9 inch) touw omheen.

Je hebt het stevigste stuk karton nodig dat je kunt vinden om voor een betere reparatie te zorgen.

Plaats het karton in het gat.
-
Trek aan het touwtje zodat het karton gelijk ligt met de muur.
-
Deze stap maakt het stucen makkelijker.
-
-

Vul het gat voorzichtig op en zorg ervoor dat het koord tijdens dit proces strak blijft staan.

Zodra het gips is aangebracht, laat u het drogen (dit duurt enkele uren).
-
Zorg dat het recht blijft staan, zoals hier te zien is met deze deurknop.

Zodra het droog is, gaat u verder met het volledig dichtmaken van het gat.

Maak het schuurpapier klaar en begin met het wegschuren van alle overtollige bultjes en onregelmatigheden.

Knip het overtollige touw af.
-

Verwijder de zelfklevende muurpleister van het vetvrij papier.
-
Plaats de pleister in het midden over het gat en druk deze stevig aan.

Breng voor de volgende stap pleister aan op de gerepareerde plek.

Blijf aanbrengen totdat de reparatie niet meer zichtbaar is.

Om deze reparatie af te ronden, breng je verf aan. Dit maakt het eindresultaat aantrekkelijker, zoals hier te zien is.

Geef nu gerust weer een feestje en werk je een weg terug naar de titel van party king!

Not strong enough. Get another piece of drywall and cut it 2" larger than the hole all around . Turn drywall upside down and with a knife score the paper slightly smaller than the hole and bend back the drywall and peel off piece but leave the top layer of paper attached. Do that on all four sides and you will have a two inch flap all around edge of repair with drywall in the middle. Put patching compound on edge of the piece of drywall and flap and some on wall at hole. Place piece of drywall in hole and with a 6" putty knife scrape out excess putty by dragging putty knife from center of repair to outside of damaged area. Continue doing this until paper flap is smooth against wall with no excess in a lump underneath. When dry, add more putty in a circular motion around the paper flap until smooth. When dry you can sand it or use a wet sponge that is wrung out really well and smooth it out with no dust. Now paint it.
I wholeheartedly agree. I have over 30 years experience as a commercial drywall finisher and I would do it the same way rswiebe says
that size hole needs something more then just plaster to fill it, I would have placed a strip of wood 1x1/2 in the wall and using drywall screws secure on either side of the hole then glue or screw a new piece of wall board that is just smaller then the hole to the wood strip and use the plaster to finish sealing the hole. it makes for a stronger repair.
of course if it is a rental then your repair is good enough
