Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon (2nd Gen) Back Cover Replacement

Inleiding

If an internal piece of your Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon (2nd Gen) needs to be replaced, use this guide to remove the back cover to gain access to the internal parts.

Before you begin, make sure your computer is off.

Using a Phillips #0 screwdriver, remove the seven 7mm screws holding the back cover onto your computer.

Use a plastic opening tool or your fingers to pry off the cover.

Use the plastic tool as seen in the picture (pry at the hinge side) as on the nearside of the laptop are some plastic scoop brackets, so prying at the front will be a lost cause and may cause damage.
