Achtergrond en Identificatie
De D50 is een DSLR-camera voor consumenten/prosumers die in 2005 door Nikon werd uitgebracht. Het toestel beschikt over een 6,1 MP DX-formaat CCD-afbeeldingssensor. Het gebruikt lenzen die compatibel zijn met de Nikon F-vatting. In tegenstelling tot veel instapmodellen van Nikon, heeft de D50 een ingebouwde autofocusmotor in de behuizing. De camera werd opgevolgd door de D40.
