Background and Identification

The LG V series is a line of Android smartphones that are produced by LG Electronics, a South Korea-based electronics company. The LG V series began in 2015 with the LG V10, and continues to release new phones in the line (up until 2020 so far.) The V10, V20, V30, and V30 ThinQ models have been discontinued.

There are several landmark models in the LG V series:

  • The first two models, the V10 and V20, both feature removable batteries, but later models unfortunately switched to non-removable batteries.
  • The ThinQ (pronounced as think-cue) variations of these phones feature artificial intelligence. Originally, LG Electronics used this technology for home appliances like smart refrigerators or air conditioners. The V30 ThinQ was the first phone to use this branding, and was followed by the V35 ThinQ, V40 ThinQ, V50 ThinQ, and V60 ThinQ models.
  • The V40 ThinQ was the first LG phone to have five cameras- three in the back, and two in the front.
  • The V50 ThinQ was the first in the series to offer 5G support.

This page contains repair information and support for the following models in the LG V series of Android phones:
