The HP Elitebook Folio 1040 G1 (Product Number: G7A91UC#ABA) was released in 2013 as an enterprise-class business laptop. It notably cuts bulky features from traditional to high-end laptops to trim thickness.

Weighing 3.3 pounds and with dimensions of 13.31 x 9.19 x 0.63 in, it is HP’s thinnest Ultrabook. It is easily identifiable by the white "Elitebook" name under the bottom left of the keyboard and the small black bar under the bottom right of the keyboard. The model number is also easily accessible by flipping the laptop over and examining the underside. Additionally, the Elitebook line is engineered to meet military standards for performance under extreme conditions and features a magnesium alloy chassis, a spill-resistant keyboard, and active hard-drive protection.

HP has released over 100 EliteBook models over 13 generations since 2008, and the EliteBook 1040 G1 was released in the 5th generation.
