Background
The Acer Chromebook CB5-571-C5XU was released in March 2015, and can be identified with its textured-white color, black keyboard, and Acer/Chromebook symbols on the back of the case. It has a 15.6″ screen, with a 15″ x 10″ frame. Included is a 32 GB SSD, 4 GB of RAM, and integrated Intel HD graphics. It also includes an integrated webcam, with a microphone and stereo speakers. At 4.9 pounds, it is on the heavier side compared to other 15″ laptops.
Repairability of the CB5-571-C5XU is relatively easy. With a large and thick frame, internal components are well spaced-out and easy to maneuver as well as remove. It is noteworthy, however, that the 4 GB RAM is soldered into the laptop and therefore cannot be replaced.
Identification
The model number can be located on a label on the bottom of the laptop, centered just below the fan vents. This label includes the model number, the series it belongs to, and the serial number of the device.
