If it’s completely dead with no vibration, charging symbol, or LED, I’d start looking at the battery and charging/power circuit rather than software.
Try a different known-good USB-C cable/charger and check the port for damage or debris. If still completely dead, the next step is measuring the battery voltage and checking whether power is reaching the board.
At that point, a failed battery, charging port, fuse, or power-management IC are all possibilities.
