If you mean the “System UI isn’t responding” message, I’d start with a simple restart. On Xiaomi phones, holding the power button for more than 10 seconds will force a restart if the phone is frozen.
If it keeps happening, try Safe Mode. That disables downloaded apps, so if the problem disappears there, one of your apps is probably causing it.
I wouldn’t factory reset the thing right away. Back up your stuff and try the simple fixes firs
