MacBook LCD is flickering with some/most angles

Hello!

First of all: Please excuse my writing as I am from germany and the english isn't probably perfect.

I've got a white MacBook (Early 2007) which has a stupid problem. When I open the cover plate the LCD begins to flicker with many angles. I have to try different angles with caution to find an angles (it's never the same angle) which hasn't the problem. So when I found the right angle I can work without any problems but I should better not touch the cover. Seems there is something broken with the hinge-joint?

Does anyone know which part is affected so that I can read the guide to fix it on my own? Got the MB for 120€ from a buddy and I guess Apple will ask for more than that. So it will be non profitable..

Thank you very much and regards from germany

Florian

This is most likely caused by a faulty Display Data Cable or an inverter cable. If the screen goes dim but you can still see the desktop then I'd replace the inverter cables. If the screen is going black then I'd go for the Display Data Cable. For the exact parts and guides we need to know your exact machine. Please give us the last three figures of your serial number. Thanks

It's AWGL. Thank you very much for your first information which could cause the problem. The screen itself isn't fading to black. The desktop is still visible.. So if you're correct it must be the inverter cable?

I've made a video where you can see the problem. Maybe this will help you to identify the problem? Many thanks in advance!

Btw: The more I open the cover the better it is (as shown in the video). With an angle for ~90° it's nearly complete white...

This appears to be the display data cable. Please give us the last three figures of your serial number found in the battery compartment.. Thanks
