There will be a swivel connector in the hinge for the touchscreen. If you can get to it, you can try cleaning the contacts. (I don't have experience with this specific camera, a cheap camera might just have the cable routed through a hole, in which case I would check that the cable hasn't broken from the stress of being bent and twisted over and over)
