my ipod will not turn on it chared for 1hour and it still wouldnt work my mother thinks it could be the battery .how do you remove the battery ? Does the back come off ?can you even remove the battery?

No, the back does not come off. To remove the battery, you have to remove the Display Assembly, the silver cover, and then you will need to solder the battery off. It is connected on the bottom hear the docking connector, it has 3 solder connections to the mainboard, so a soldering iron will be necessary.
