Is there a replacement for lightning port?

I expect most of the reason there isn't presently a Guide for this is because charge port replacement on most iPads is not as easy a job as other modular components.

The charge port (lightning port, dock, the list of names for it is extensive) flex cable is soldered to the motherboard in nearly all iPads, including this one. The part itself is available around the internet, and it is not tremendously difficult as far as soldering jobs in an iPad go,. But if you aren't familiar with soldering techniques, this might be better left to professionals.
