My WiFi router has been upgraded to 5G and is not compatible with my Roborock S5 anymore.. It only connects to a 2G.. Which I don't have... Is there any way to upgrade the software to get it to work?

Like a lot of IoT equipments, the Roborock S50 is hardware limited to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. So, you can't connect it to a 5GHz Wi-Fi network.
Can you give me the model number and brand of your Wi-Fi router? I didn't know that Wi-Fi router without 2.4GHz existed. Maybe you can enable it somewhere in its configuration menu.

Wifi frequencies are hardware, not software. You could buy a 2.4GHz AP (https://tinyurl.com/twopointfourghz-amaz... was at the top of the list for me) and connect your Roborock S5 to that, but otherwise, no.
