Hi! We need a bit more information to give you any real kind of answer as there could be so many reasons it’s not turning on for you at this point.

Did you drop it recently?

Any water or liquid exposure or damage?

How long has it been since you last had it turned on/charged and how long did you attempt to charge it for this time? Sometimes when a device’s battery is completely drained, it can take a bit longer for it to start showing anything on the screen.

Is the charger fitting properly into the device? If it feels loose or not going all the way in, your charging port may need cleaned.

It could also potentially be a motherboard issue: I’ve seen some iPhones come in for repair with a bad IC causing it to not want to charge or power on after dying, though I forget which IC that is.

Etc. Let me know.

Hi Pour Water On A Rock! I'm sorry about your iPhone 7 Plus. Here are some of my ideas!

What is wrong:

  • Cracked phone screen (glass only)
  • Phone worked fine until it ran out of battery
  • Won't turn on after charging
  • Not recognized by iTunes

Potential Causes: While the cracked screen might seem unrelated, it's possible that the impact that caused the crack also damaged internal components. Here are some potential culprits:

  • Battery: The battery might be completely drained or damaged due to the drop.
  • Charging port: The charging port could be obstructed or damaged, preventing proper charging.
  • Logic board: Internal components on the logic board might be affected, causing the phone to not turn on or be recognized by iTunes.

Troubleshooting Steps:

Disclaimer: These steps involve some risk. If you're uncomfortable, consider seeking professional help.

  1. Check Your Charging Accessories:
    • Try a different charging cable and adapter to rule out issues with your current ones.
    • Ensure the charging port is clean and free of debris. Use a soft-bristled brush if necessary.
  2. Force Restart:
    • Even though the screen is cracked, this might help if it's a software glitch:
      • Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Volume Down buttons for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo.
  3. Connect to Computer:
    • Try connecting your iPhone to a computer using a different USB port.
    • iTunes or Finder might recognize it, allowing you to restore the device.
  4. Check for Physical Damage:
    • Carefully inspect the charging port for any visible damage or obstructions.
    • If you're comfortable, you can open the phone (there are guides online, but proceed with caution) to check for any obvious internal damage.

If all else fails consider one of these repair options:

  • Local Repair Shops: There are many independent repair shops that can diagnose and fix iPhone issues. Research local options and read reviews before choosing one.
  • Online Repair Services: Some companies offer mail-in repair services. Be cautious and choose a reputable service with good customer reviews.

Remember:

  • Back up your iPhone if possible before attempting any repairs.
  • Repairing electronics can be risky. If you're unsure, it's better to seek professional help.

If none of these steps work, it's likely a hardware issue that requires more intricate repair.
