I see the connector i see one end of it which is usually held by this black part on the end i see an adhesive outline which might be the connector I'm trying to figure out if I ripped the connecter from the cable or I'm just wrong and unplugged it's from the side near the trackpad, not the logic board

Thank you I’ve been wondering that also two more things would be much appreciated how do I disconnect the broken part of the connector and also I’ve worked previously on this MacBook I replaced the battery it didn’t turn on for awhile I tried charging it with a no original charger because that’s all I had at the time but when it started after I charged with a original charger it turned on I think the person who helped me cut that cable or mabe it was another but it booted to my lock screen worked for a few seconds and then freezes and I manually turned it off by any chance do you know if replacement of the flex cable will fix it or not thanks again for the help and sorry for asking 2 questions I’m just trying to get it working and get important information off it

i have an image of the whole thing opened from what i remember during the repair the cable was cut i have no idea as to why but I'm going to edit that next to the images i posted before i don't have the best lighting currently as its night and there's no light i have besides a flashlight and led lights also the part of the cable that's plugged into the top part near the screen has not been unplugged only the bottom near the trackpad if I'm correct that's probably why i keep getting it confused thank you

@aadendonia - if the cable is cut the you’ll need to replace it.

Hold on here! This is a ZIF connector!

The cable is feed into the slot of the connector and the compression latch is allowed to compress the cable into the connectors contacts. Review Step 31 in this guide Retina MacBook 2015 Logic Board Replacement

Your cable looks fine! The connector is just missing the compression latch which can fly off if you push on it to hard.

All you need is to try to find it likely on the floor or get a replacement connector to then carefully pop the latch off and then install it on your logic boards connector. It takes me just a few minutes to fix if I have the latch!

@aadendonia - Sorry it’s not clear enough to see things. Zoom in on the two images in the guide. Note the lifting of the latch. Click on the blue link in my answer.
