Installling ifixit battery is causing high cpu by configd

I have recently replaced original battery on my old macbook pro with ifixit battery (MacBook Pro 15" Retina (Mid 2015) Battery), and I have noticed that when the laptop is on battery power, configd is causing high cpu utilization, typically greater than 100%, which also increases fan (you hear fan going crazy), see the spinning rainbow, and the laptop stops responding to any keyboard or mouse input.

When you attach power cable, then it goes back to normal.

I searched online, and there was a post suggesting turning internet sharing off. It was never on on my laptop to begin with. I am not sure how to go about fixing the issue. The whole reason to buy and install replacement battery is to use it without always tethered to power cable, but configd's high cpu utilization is preventing it.
Has anyone encountered such issue? How did you fix it? Does ifixit have solution? Any help or suggestion would be much appreciated.

Seems like it's an issue with certain third party batteries. Might be worth exploring this Reddit thread if you haven't already—there are a number of people with the same issue there. Might be worth contacting iFixit directly to see if they have a recommendation or can send you a replacement battery to try. Good luck!
