Hi @ethan2706,

Have you checked the brake fluid level in the brake master cylinder is OK and that there are no leaks in the brake lines or around the slave cylinders near the brakes?

What is the year and F-model of your vehicle?

It’s a 1996 Ford F150 XLT. Yes I can see that the brake fluid was empty. I filled it up and a few days later was empty again.

Someone had told me to drive it around the block and pump the brake. You think that’s a good idea? I’m not sure if that’s safe

You shouldn't be losing any fluid at all.

Check the brake lines from the master cylinder to each wheel and brake slave cylinders on each wheel for leaks. Pumping the brake pedal will only cause more fluid to be pumped out if there is a leak.

Make sure you bleed the brakes to make sure 100% there is no air in the brake system. You may also need to replace your brake fluid. Make sure there are no cracked or missing vacuum lines.
