Followed all instructions to disassemble iPhone 4S and replace LCD. Great instructions! One part came out that was not in the steps!
What is this part? Where does it go?
Followed all instructions, in reverse, to assemble. Never found the part. Went through each screen shot - multiple times.

It goes under the battery connector screw.

Yes that's right - out of the 2 battery screws it goes under the top one.

It looks like to me, a part that would hold a camera/light sensor/speaker. Does the phone work alright without it? To me, it looks like a shim.
