OLED Audio Board Noise / Hiss

The OLED model appears to have issues with noise in the 3.5mm jack. Some online threads report an RMA resolves it, in which Valve replaced the daughter audio board.

Does anyone know if this replacement audio board from iFixIt resolves this issue / is the newer part?
