controller turns off when the square button is pressed
everything on my controller works fine but when I press square button, it turns off the controller completely.

The button trace is probably misaligned or dirty.
In this image, the traces for the buttons are the gold and green plastic slip that presses against the motherboard with a foam piece. Get some contact cleaner and clean off those metal contacts on the plastic and the motherboard. If this doesn't work, replace the foam padding as it eventually wears down and causes this problem.
