Gestures and proximity not working after screen replacement

Hi, so I just replaced the screen of my Pixel 8 Pro.

After installing it I started noticing some issues. For example:

  1. Everytime a make a call or answer a call, the screen turns black without me bringing it next to my ear.
  2. When a play a voice note, it always plays on the ear speaker not on the bottom speaker.
  3. The click to wake and lift to wake gestures are not working anymore.

I believe this has something to do with the proximity sensors of the new display. Can somebody help me please?

I have this problem also. In addition to the phone call thing, the always on display does not work, and neither does the tap to wake. I believe this is because the proximity sensor is blocked with the new screen. I did some testing and in developer options I enabled the quick setting to turn sensors off. When I turn sensors off the screen acts like the proximity sensor is not blocked. Phone calls act normal, always on display works, tap to wake works. But with sensors off the microphone also doesn't work, and the phone will unlock in your pocket.
