I make sure I treat it gentle, and it usually lives in a backpack, I use it for school. I travel light so nothing hits it other than a composition book.
So I'm unsure how or why the bottom chassis got bent.
It also prevents me from closing the screen correctly and it looks titled

You will need to open up the case to see what is going on. Perhaps the main battery is swollen.

I am sure you take good care of your laptop but on the other hand perhaps some on else sat on your bag?
