The iPod Seventh Generation, marketed and sold as the "iPod Classic", was released in September 2009, and did not have any visible differences compared to the previous version. It simply replaced the previous 120GB iPod Classic 6.5 with a thin 160GB version.

Memory dropped to 128gb after restore

6 years ago I had my 160gb ipod classic 6th7th gen upgraded to 500gb ssd. Worked fine untill last week when the screen displayed sad face and cross and instructed to connect to itunes and restore. I was not running Rockbox and instead the logic board was changed during the upgrade. Since the restore the device is showing only 128gb, any ideas how to fix?

Hi @chris20518

It seems your logic board was changed and with that your ssd probally got swapped as well, if not restore your ipod via a cable connection to Itunes on a windows (Download from apple website first) or on a older mac use itunes but if you have a later Macbook it should be in finder

Cheers!
