I have a dead A1226 and have a working A1260 screen. Can I just swap the screens and not have to take the back cover off, the bezel to just have a working MBP? Are they compatible I cannot tell by the pictures but they do have a different part number???? But the connections look the same. Thanks, Steve

Yes they have the same LVDS/video data cable, click here to verify that. They have the same inverter/iSight cable, click here to verify that. They have the same hinges, click here to verify that. Same bezel & rear display housing, click here to verify that. I could not find the lower case right off, but the same rear display housing says the hinge spacing is the same between the 2.
