Screen replacement flashing green

I was replacing a broken screen, but the new one is now flashing a light green color after installation. Did I just get a borked screen replacement? Has anyone seen this issue before?

Hi Mike,

To be honest, we've seen more than a normal amount of failures in replacement screens from Google. This just my personal opinion, but it seems to me that Google has somewhat of a quality control issue with their spare parts inventory.

Of course you'll want to do the normal checks first, including reseating the connector, cleaning it with IPA and visually verifying the integrity of the pins in the connectors. If that doesn't help, plug the original screen back in and see if it's still working as it did before. Assuming it is, that would tend to point to the replacement screen as being faulty, and if that's the case you'll want to contact the seller for a replacement. If you bought it here at iFixit you can reach them at support@ifixit.com.

My current screen got fudged when I did the replacement (I didn't know where the frame was til after I removed the screen). I'm hoping support can get back to me and help with this issue.

Thanks Jerry
