Rosetta 2 and Silhouette Studio working well?

I recently won a 16" M1 Pro MacBook to replace my Intel computer due to the age catching up to them. I am not getting an adapter with the sale so I need to get this outside of the seller. I'm working on that so I can have it before I get the laptop and I am ready to do the migration.

However my big concern is one program that has not been updated for Apple Silicon: Silhouette Studio. Every other problem application has been retired or updated so I'm set otherwise. Has anyone seen any issues with the Silhouette software on Apple Silicon machines like this with Rosetta 2 or will I basically need to run my Intel computer for this one application?

I know I probably should stay with Intel a bit longer but it's not sustainable anymore. The Intel writing is on the wall and it's not going to get any better.

Your question started off looking at the need to get a new charger. If you want a real Apple unit it’s best to get it from Apple.

While technically any USB-C charger should meet the USB-C fast charge spec. Sadly, all you can go on is what’s written on the charger unless you have an inline power meter to watch like a Hawk as the charger is charging a few times from different charged levels. Many of the early units didn’t do to well so keep that in your mind as you look

Don’t forget the USB-C cable! Many are not designed for laptops heavier power flow and some are not even wired for power!

That was one part. The other part is I have one Intel application which remains unpatched for Apple Silicon this late in. You ever see an issue with Silhouette software and Rosetta 2?

For the charger I'm just going to buy the cable and brick from Apple with how much of a power hog a 16" laptop will probably be.

@nick - Sorry no idea on Silhouette Studio.

@danj They have given me zero help and do not have a support number. Just email and we can't say anything. I'm probably going to have to keep a Intel computer around for a bit knowing they refuse to help or even seemingly fix this.
