Screen not working - Possible loose connector?

I dropped my iphone on the floor, and its screen went sort of hazy and pixilated. I shook it a few times and it went back to normal. I later took it apart to replace the camera, and when I put it back together, the screen did not work. I noticed that when I took the screen out and held it at an angle (with it still connected) I got an image on the screen, but when I put it back down there was no image. The screen connector also does not click in as firmly as the other connectors do. Is this a problem with the screen socket on the motherboard, the soldering joints to the socket, the screen plug, or something else, and how do I fix it?

If you took the display off then put it back together, try resetting the phone by holding the home button and sleep/wake button for like 15 seconds, or as long as it takes for the apple logo to come up. Sometimes that works. If not, you might have damaged the LCD. try replacing it. There are tutorials on this website on how to do so. It's just a couple of screws to separate it from the digitizer. If a new LCD doesn't work, then it very well may be a broken coil or circuit on the motherboard. But try the reset or replacing the LCD. All you need is your new part, a 00 phillips head screwdriver, a suction cup, and a plastic spudger. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

EDIT: I'd also try looking at the pins on the connection between the LCD and motherboard, Sometimes they bend or snap and that could explain why you're not getting the same "click" when plugging it in.

I tried resetting using the sleep and wake button and it still does not work. If the problem is the LCD screen itself and not the screen plug, socket, or solder joints, then why did I get an image on the screen when I held it at an angle from the motherboard?
