Anyone know if this is fixable I have 2 Cinema screen monitors that are this way.
Does not appear when the monitor is off. Only after it's turned on. Should I just chuck them?

Ouch! What you are seeing is the breakdown of the liquid crystal material that is sandwiched between the two sheets of glass that makes up the panel.
These displays are still highly sought! Just for there well designed and constructed. You can still buy a replacement panel for them which would be cheaper than replacing.
