do you get a better signal when your closer to the router because if so there might be a problem with your wifi antenna. also what is your computers model number as that help me or @jayeff figure out what the problem is

What is the model number of the laptop as shown on the information label on the bottom of the laptop?
Do you get a better signal if you use the laptop WiFi as close as possible to the network router i.e. <20cm?
