Hello - I removed the casing to detatch the clamps. While this was successful, something began to rattle inside and this fell out. Absolutely no idea where from and it doesn't appear to have affected the device from what I can tell.
It's silver, two inches across and has a small amount of lubricant on it.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Looking through the repair guides: Logitech G29 Driving Force
I don't see any parts that match that appearance. If the device is still fully functional I wouldn't worry about it. Though I am also curious where that part originated (mistake at the factory?).
