Does anybody know what “gracenote” is? There’s a label for it on my Sony BDP-S5200 Blu-Ray Player, but I have no idea what it’s supposed to mean. (This question isn’t technically repair-related, but I’m trying to build a wiki page for this device, and I honestly have no idea what gracenote is)

Gracenote provides its media management technology and global media database of digital entertainment information to the mobile, automobile, portable, home, and PC markets. Several software applications which were capable of playing CDs (e.g. Media Go and iTunes,) used Gracenote's CDDB technology.
