MacBook randomly turning off at 55-65% battery.

Hey guys,

I have this issue, not long ago I bought an Ifixit battery for my Mid2015 15" MacBook Pro, did the change myself and everything looked good. Turned it on, calibrated the battery like it said in the instructions, everything great. but...

The computer keeps on turning off after having 55-65% battery. I have Coconut Battery and it does recognise the battery, with "battery status GOOD". No problems in that area whatsoever.
I've been searching through forums and have tried everything that I've seen posted, even here. Resetting the SMC, letting the battery drain fully a couple times and then charging it to 100%. Resetting the SMC and calibrating the battery again. Wait several cycles doing the draining and charging it fully, but so far to no avail. To be honest it is kinda infuriating to have gone through the process, having a nice new battery that looks great by all standards, but just there's something not clicking.

I wouldn't want to change the battery again if I don't have to. So if anyone has any insight, maybe another idea of how to make the computer realise that at 55% the battery is still going strong, would be awesome!

Thank you!

Carefully disconnect the battery, the with nothing connected press the power button and hold it for a good 15secs to fully discharge the logic board. Now plug in the MagSafe charger the system should spontaneously startup. Let it fully boot up and do a proper shutdown, then reconnect the battery. Let the battery fully charge see if that makes a difference.

Ok. I found out that my macbook doesn't want to boot when plugged on without a battery. It starts, shows the apple, the loading bar, and after around 30-40% done, turns off automatically and then tries to boot again. It happened for around half an hour.

I'm going to try with another magsafe adapter to check if mine is faulty or something.

Still, I'm running on battery to check if something did click and maybe the problem went away :D
