It seems that iFixit and Google aren't supplying either the frame-and-back-glass assembly or the back glass itself. I've ordered a couple from ebay and they're all plastic as far as I can tell. Is there a way that iFixit can get Google to cough up more parts for these phones, especially the back glass parts?

I'm not sure if we are allowed to link to other sites, but I found the back glass on Amazon.
The seller claims this is glass in the description. I also emailed them asking if there was a Google logo on the glass because it's now visible in the pictures. They assured me there is a Google logo.

I've been around for a while now, and although I can't quote a specific policy, in my experience posting links isn't a problem as long as you aren't promoting yourself or your business. I post links to repair parts quite frequently without problem.
Q: Is this glass like the original? Or is this plastic?
A: It is plastic, which is much better than glass. Get this and you won't have to worry about "Back Glass Cracking" it didn't come with the top piece, so I still need to find that. see less

right to repair except for major parts of the phone i guess
c'mon google, why do you do this? it was so obvious that people would need these parts

on the amazon Q&A, if you search for "is" you can find the response saying that this panel is made of plastic
