E100 what? Specifically the code after that.

E100 is core firmware update fail, specific parts and errors are indicated with the two hex parameters behind it, but most common ones are disc drive missing or mismatched.

@mccoylucas 703 is disc drive firmware update, 8091 is disc drive errors, usually unplugged, broken or mismatched disc drive.

My error code is: E100 0000070D 80070001. What does this mean?

Hello Mccoy lucas

The E100 error code on an Xbox Series X typically indicates a hardware issue, such as a problem with the console's internal storage or firmware. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Perform a power cycle: Turn off your Xbox Series X by holding the power button down for 10 seconds. Wait a few minutes, then turn the console back on and see if the error code has disappeared.
  2. Check the hard drive: The E100 error code can sometimes be caused by a faulty hard drive or storage device. Try removing the hard drive from your Xbox Series X and then reinserting it to see if that fixes the issue.
  3. Check for firmware updates: Make sure that your Xbox Series X is running the latest firmware by checking for updates in the system settings. If there is an update available, try downloading and installing it to see if it resolves the issue.
  4. Contact Microsoft Support: If none of these steps fix the E100 error code, it's possible that there is a more serious hardware issue with your Xbox Series X. You may want to contact Microsoft Support for assistance or to see if the console is still under warranty.

If you're comfortable with electronics repair, you could try opening up your Xbox Series X and checking the components for any visible damage or loose connections. However, keep in mind that opening up your console may void any warranty that it has, and it's recommended to seek professional repair assistance if you're unsure about how to proceed.

Can we just remove OPTION 2? The Series X does NOT have a drive that can be removed as the storage is on the main board.
