Touch screen not working at all & occasionally screen will "glitch"

Touch screen fails every Lenovo Diagnostic test applied, and screen does not "flip" when Yoga device is folded; in addition to this, the screen will occasionally "glitch" - blacking out, screen tearing, weird patterns showing up, YouTube videos failing to load properly. Some of these can be "fixed" by shaking the device lightly or applying pressure to the bottom. Trying to determine what kind of hardware issue these could be related to, and how could I fix it?

To check for glitching, press down on the left hand hinge and see if you can make it happen.

If so perhaps the eDP cable has been damaged where it passes through the hinge to get from the motherboard to the display.

Here's the hardware maintenance manual for the laptop.

Go to p.56 to view the procedure to remove the hinges and the eDP cable.

If the cable is damaged, go to p.73 Item #4 to find the parts number (5C10L47354) for the cable. Search online using the part number only to find suppliers that suit you best.

If the cable is OK check that the cable is securely connected at both ends, motherboard and display.
