Recently purchased Aura Pro SSD drive. I cannot get my Macbook air to recognize it. Im running MacOS Monetery 12.6.3. When i install the drive, the computer will not boot. When put the drive in the external enclosure it does not show up in diskutil at all. I have tried recovery mode. still not visible. Don't know how to overcome this issue. OWC has provided zero support.

Make sure you have the correct OWC drive. This is what you should be working with OWC Aura Pro X2 SSD
If it is let’s see if we work with an older release works, then upgrade it from there.
To start off we need to create a bootable USB thumb drive a 32GB drive is all you need. Using your Mac reformat it to GUID HFS+ And then copy from here the OS installer file How to download macOS I would jump back to macOS High Sierra (10.13) here. Follow this guide to convert the installer into a bootable version Create a bootable installer for macOS?
Now using the bootable installer see if you can bootup with it and can gain access to the OWC drive using Disk Utility.

I did suggested in the post. unfortunately the drive is still not visible. Is not recognized at at all
@John De Visser - Were did you buy the drive? I would return it or contact OWC to see what they say.
Drive was purchased directly from OWC. They are not being helpful or responsive in dealing with the problem. I am now pretty sure the drive is dead.
@John De Visser - Just return it and get your money, I’m surprised but it’s been awhile I have bought an OWC drive (mostly I install Apple units).
OWC is not responding on the return request. Six weeks now and no response from them. Very disappointing.
