not able to restore window 7 home premium on old lenovo ideapad U450p

The internet explorer was not working after update. I tried to restore to prior time point and did not work. I tried to fixed it after google the info and thought that my laptop was corrupted. I bought 3 repair disks on line and still not working properly and could not install any other web browsers!
