HDD not detected in SATA Battery Life Mode

This laptop has a "Performance" and "Battery Life" setting for SATA in the BIOS.

I have installed a clean version of Windows 10 after upgrading to a 1TB SSD (Team

Group AX2)

The laptop will boot fine if the "Battery Life" setting is selected. SATA speed is 150 MBS.

However, if I change the BIOS setting to Performance", the HDD is not detected by the BIOS. However, I can Read/Write the disk while in Performance mode using the disk tools on the USB drive.

Simply changing the BIOS setting to "Battery Life" allows it to boot properly.

Has anyone seen this??

The problem turned out to be the new SSD drive (Teamgroup AX2 1TB).

Bought a Crucial 1TB SSD and the laptop now detects the drive when the BIOS is set to "Performance" mode.

It must have been some problem with the handshake during boot.
