When battery plugged in just beeps and won’t boot up.

My MacBook won’t turn on when battery and power is plugged in.

My MacBook turns on fine when the battery is disconnected and I use the sequence

Hold power button for 10 seconds

Connect power source

Carry on holding button for 10 seconds

let go and Mac powers up.

As soon as I disconnect the mains connect the battery in and then put the mains back on a beep with white light on the front happens every one second.

I’ve tried to hold power for 10 seconds then Connect at power hold power still including shift, control, option and command for 10 seconds and then let go but again Mac does not boot up and gives beep everyone one second.

Any ideas?

One thing you can try is to reset the PRAM on your MacBook. PRAM (or parameter random access memory) stores certain settings and preferences for your computer, and resetting it can sometimes resolve issues with power and battery performance. To reset the PRAM, follow these steps:

  1. Shut down your MacBook.
  2. Press the power button, then immediately press and hold the Command + Option + P + R keys on your keyboard.
  3. Keep holding the keys until your MacBook restarts and you hear the startup sound for a second time.
  4. Release the keys and allow your MacBook to boot up normally.

Another thing you can try is to reset the NVRAM (or non-volatile random access memory) on your MacBook. This is similar to resetting the PRAM, but it stores different types of settings and preferences. To reset the NVRAM, follow these steps:

  1. Shut down your MacBook.
  2. Press the power button, then immediately press and hold the Command + Option + P + R keys on your keyboard.
  3. Keep holding the keys until your MacBook restarts and you hear the startup sound for a second time.
  4. Release the keys and immediately press and hold the Command + Option + P + R keys again.
  5. Keep holding the keys until your MacBook restarts and you hear the startup sound for a third time.
  6. Release the keys and allow your MacBook to boot up normally.

Both of these options don’t seem to work.

As soon as the battery is plugged in it struggles to boot up with any option I try.
