Green light flashes for a second, along with bottom screen

When I power on the DS the green light turns on for a little bit, the bottom screen (and only top screen) flashes for a second, then the green light turns off.

Seems like a ribbon cable issue with the top screen, right? Cleaned off all the ribbon cables and reseated them, no luck. There is no super obvious damage, but I don't know what exactly to look for. Is the ribbon cable damaged? Or is it something else?

If needed, I can provide pictures/videos (when I get a chance).

I’d check the ribbon connectors too under magnification if you can.

@strongbow What exactly am I looking for? What would a damaged ribbon cable look like?

Crap, it's ripped. I feel like it must've been my fault cuz I didn't see that when I first tore it down. Prolly just gonna get an LCD from a donor ds. Guess we'll see if the ribbon cable was the problem then. Is there anywhere to buy a new ribbon cable only? Only stuff I can find is like $8 which feels more than it's worth.
