stuck on apple loop no dfu mode not recognized by computer

I have an iphone 3g that is stuck on the apple logo, no loading bar or circle. As soon as the phone has enough power to be turned on it boots to apple logo without even having to turn on the iphone. I have tried entering restore mode and dfu mode with no success. The phone is not reccognized by itunes or computer
