Upgrading Wifi Airport card

Hello. I just found an old Macbook Pro Mid 2012 and installed an SSD in it and it works surprisingly fast.

Now the only problem I have with it is that the original Airport card supports only 2.4ghz WiFi and I want it to use my home 5ghz network.

Which Airport board can I upgrade to to take advantage of faster Wifi speeds?
Does this one work with my Mac: MacBook Pro Retina (2015) Airport/Bluetooth Board ?

The Airport cards in newer models of Mac would be physically incompatible. WiFi/Bluetooth functionality in these older units is actually a "board" rather than a "card." By which I mean, that it's not something that just slots into the logic board. It is mounted to the enclosure separately and has a cable which connects it to the logic bard.

If you're looking for 5 GHz support. your better bet would be to get a USB WiFi adapter. It's less ideal since it would need to be utilized externally. But it may be the only option
