GE GSHS6KGZBCSS - The freezer is very cold, but my fridge side is warm

I have a GE GSHS6KGZBCSS - The freezer is very cold, but my fridge side is warm. I replaced the defrost heater 5 weeks ago, it was definitely bad. And it worked great til a week ago. I thought it was my damper unit that is located in the fridge, so I took it out to see if the fridge would cool, it did for about 5 days. Now it is warm again. The condensor fan is running and the evaporator fan us too. There us frozen condensation in the freezer on the ice maker and the top of the freezer. If I have both doors open I can feel cold air from the freezer coming into the fridge at the opening where the damper unit attaches. Close the freezer door and no air.

If I am asking stupid questions, no apologies. I do Not know what I'm doing, but I am trying to fix it since I can't afford a service call much less a new unit. It would be nice if my BF would help me, but all I get from him is talked down because I haven't fixed it yet. So be nice or get...well you know. Thank you.
