What motion sensors used?
Any idea what acc.sensors and gyros used in the Galaxy? Where are they placed?

Check out our teardown, step 11. The one motion sensing unit we identified is an Invensense MPU-3050.

On the galaxy nexus, the left sensor next to the ear piece is to turn off the screen while in a call.
What is the sensor to the right of it, just to the left of the front camera?
Also will it hurt to cover these with a screen protector?
