I replaced the housing on my iphone 7 but the volume up button is sort of loose, and it doesnt stick out properly. I believe this is because the screw hole for the bracket is a tiny bit extruded, like half a milimeter, but im not sure if that actually is the problem.

Did you replace the gasket on the buttons? If its loose either the gasket isn’t sticky enough to hold on the frame or possibly you used the wrong screw in the piece that holds it in.
