Film got stuck and would not stop blinking

I put in a new film cartridge… and you know the first black cover that’s supposed to come out before taking any pictures? IT GOT STUCK and I pulled it out. Now it won't click any pictures nor would it stop blinking. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?
