Taptic Engine Motor weak vibration

Hi!

I have Changed Back Housing on an iPhone SE2020 which previously was bent. After that I have fitted back everything and I have tested vibrator motor but it is very weak. It makes very tiny sound or vibration but it is not normal.

I have tried an 2 good iPhone 8 Taptic Engine but it is the same problem.

Every other function of the phone works perfect except this.

The board has no damaged components on it.

Any suggestion how to diagnose or move forward? Thanks

I have never encountered this problem being a logic board issue. It will be a parts issue. Install the logic board into a known good housing and test.

Do you have access to a microscope? It is possible that the board could have sustained damage that is not visible to the naked eye. I would also try cleaning any connections it uses.

YES! I have checked under Microscope. Also checked the ARC IC chip and checked did readings no short found.

For now I have ordered another new Taptic Engine to check.

Also checked with NEW dock flex which did not resolved the problem.

Hi, i have similar problem, but my Taptic Engine go laud non-standard, i even order new housing and the solution for me was changing the dock connector. If you have access to new one? You need to instal to the phone to proper test it.

I have a spare dock flex. I have tested as well but problem still not resolved. today I have ordered a brand new dock flex I will check if that make any difference.
