Can I swap the motherboard from a 2006-2012 mac pro into G5 case?

Hi, I have a non working power mac G5 and i would like to know if it is possible to swap the motherboard from a 2006 to 2012 mac pro into the G5 chassis.

I’m not sure its worth the effort…

There are enough structural differences in the case and the power supply and many of the other sundry parts are also different. In the end if you have a working logic board then picking up the proper case would just be easier Mac Pro Enclosure without Power Supply (09-12) and Mac Pro Power Supply, 980W (09-12) for starters.
